“We must open our hearts; then, we welcome “what is” with love.”

What is Ho’oponopono?

The Ho’oponopono prayer is a way of forgiveness that clears the blockages in your thinking and cell structures. It cleans and releases us from opinions, beliefs, and emotions that separate us from the one universal energy.

Ho’oponopono comes from ancient Hawaiian instruction called the “Huna.”

The “Hu” translates to “knowledge” and “na” to “wisdom.”

The overall pedagogy is that we create everything in our world, which means we can heal it.

When we get detached from our divinity, we believe in all the things that do not love, like fear, guilt, blame, judgment, and shame. When this happens, we disrupt our energy flow and begin to manifest unwanted things in our lives.

Ho’oponopono corrects this energy disruption and returns you to totality, unity, and harmony. “Ho’o” means “to make,” and “pono” means “right,” so ho’oponopono translates into “to make rightly right.”

Benefits of Ho’oponopono

As a practice, ho’oponopono helps people analyze situations construed as complex in their lives, recognize their role in disputes, and mentally handle the stress with a reliable attitude instead of blame.

Once people learn and apply the basic principles of ho’oponopono, they may feel the benefits:

  • Improved mental health, especially anxiety and depression
  • Reduced stress
  • Increased emotional power
  • Better relationships with others
  • Effective conflict solution
  • Attainment of inner peace

Practicing Ho’oponopono

 I AM SORRY

I have perceived suffering (in myself or others), and I am sorry. I sincerely apologize for my consciousness’s part in my or another’s suffering.

This is where you take percent accountability for misery, either your own or someone else’s. Because again, everything that comes to your attention couldn’t be there unless it wasn’t also in your consciousness. There is nothing on the “out,” only within.

PLEASE FORGIVE ME

Please forgive me for making, consciously or unconsciously, chaos for you and/or myself. Please pardon me for forgetting our/divinity, authentic nature, and spiritual connections.

Please forgive me for holding a verdict against you/against myself/the crisis.

I LOVE YOU

I love you. I love the way I am, and I love my body with flaws. I love the pain that has come to fetch me back to love. I love this life. I love the Universe.

Feel the devotion you have for your very breath. For life. For everything that has led up as a “trouble” to bring you back to your true spirit, which is love.

THANK YOU

Thank you for my forgiveness. Thank you for the balance that is on its way. I realize I am now freed vigorously from the chains of my past.

No matter how little the gain you make each time, you will be bringing your energy back into balance. It’s the most exciting self-experiment you’ll ever do–to watch your life begin to alter right before you.
